Recognition Highlights the Potential of Canopy's Antigen-Drug-Conjugate Platform to Transform the Treatment of Autoimmune Diseases
June 22, 2025
Canopy Immunotherapeutics announced today that it has been selected as a winner of the Johnson & Johnson Precision Immunology Challenge, recognizing innovative technologies with the potential to transform the treatment of immune-mediated diseases.
The award highlights Canopy's proprietary Antigen-Drug-Conjugate (AgDC) platform, a novel "2-in-1" approach designed to selectively eliminate both pathogenic autoantibodies and the autoreactive B cells that produce them. Unlike current therapies that broadly deplete antibodies or B cells, Canopy's platform is designed to address both disease drivers simultaneously while preserving protective immune function.
"We are thrilled and honored to receive this recognition from Johnson & Johnson," said Dr. Kfir Oved, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Canopy Immunotherapeutics. "This award validates our vision of developing precision therapies that address the root cause of autoimmune disease and highlights the potential of our AgDC platform to deliver a highly targeted, non-immunosuppressive treatment approach."
Canopy's lead program is focused on Myasthenia Gravis, with additional opportunities to expand the platform across a broad range of antibody-mediated autoimmune diseases.
Canopy would like to thank the JLABS team for its support and nomination throughout the challenge process.
